Quick question - I have booked advance tickets from LNER's website, but my plans have changed and I would like to get an eVoucher.

I filled out the form at https://lner-refunds.fastrailticketing.com/ but I haven't collected the tickets yet, so could not upload a picture of said tickets to the form. As expected, the submitted form was rejected.

Do I actually have to collect the tickets from a station, then cut them up and send a photo of the tickets to them? I hope there's a better option I haven't seen yet.

Many thanks.

I don't know the answer, but I can add my own experience yesterday.

I chose not to travel after Avanti cancelled my train booked on LNER on an Anytime fare. Even though I selected "train was cancelled", LNER have deducted a £10 administration fee, which I'm now challenging.

Both of these cases should be trivial for a good retailer to automatically identify and properly handle in the vast, vast majority of cases.

Give the CSC a ring they should be able to sort it for you without you collecting the tickets.

Thanks, having called, they seemed very willing to help but said I still needed to collect the tickets, as they need the ticket number of the physical ticket?

They referred me to "amend a journey or request a refund" on the website, but I think this doesn't give me an evoucher, and I don't want to be left out of pocket from this.

I have no issues collecting the tickets, but it seems a little wasteful to do so, only to cut them up (and bin them...).
