Hi there. I'm a newbie to the forum and wasn't sure which forum to put this question into. (No doubt, a moderator will move it if necessary.)

In the above pic (taken from the film 'Millions Like Us' from 1943) we see what is called "Stockford" station in the film. My question is does anybody know the true identity and location used for filming? I can add some more pics of better quality if anyone needs clarifiaction (it's just that I don't have any of them at work, so this pic is downloaded from a website).

If anyone can be of any assistance I would be very grateful :D

Regards, Ian.

In his book "Railways On The Screen",John Huntley writes - "...contains one or two stock L.M.S. shots, and an L.M.S. departure with two of the cast from an unidentified station".

Hmm... interesting.

This site suggests that the film's locations included Eastbourne. This is corroborated in this blog where Eastbourne Pier has been identified.

However, this book tells us that the aircraft factory used in the film was at Castle Bromwich in the Midlands.

Elsewhere, I found a suggestion that a pub exterior used in the film might have been in Oxfordshire.
