A group of 5 or 6 people are travelling from various points in London to Woldingham on Sunday 30th March, and are meeting at Victoria for the 1553 departure. I will be travelling from Luton with a Gold Card, and a Disabled Railcard, and will be buying a CDR for the whole journey. Others will have Oyster cards, and at least one will have a Freedom Pass.

I need to advise people of the cheapest way to travel. I'm familiar with Boundary Zone 6 tickets, but not sure how this works in conjunction with Oysters. I assume that the excess will be a Boundary Zone 6 to Woldingham CDR at £3.20, or £2.10 for 3 of the 5 or 6 people with my Gold Card. Some of the group may have railcards, but that is an unknown at the moment.

I'd appreciate your help in this!

Edit:

Further to above post, I shall be joining the group at East Croydon, and shall be using the Gold Card for travel, as I intend to upgrade to 1st class between Luton and East Croydon. I shall be carrying my Disabled Persons Railcard. We shall all be returning the same day, and I shall change at East Croydon on the return journey also.

You can combine paper boudnary zone tickets with Oysters if they contain a Travelcard, but not if they are using Pay as you Go.

If there're three other people eligible for a Boundary Zone 6 ticket (i.e. they all have travelcards to zone 6 or Freedom passes), then it'd be worth using GroupSave for the extensions as that'll make them £1.60 each.
