Another First Class thread :).

I'm aware of the East Coast First Class Lounge at Edinburgh. Travelling to Aberdeen early next week and I've read there is also a Scotrail Lounge at the station too. Whereabouts is it, and is it as good as the East Coast one?

I take it First Anytime tickets for which I'll be using a Scotrail service won't be valid in the East Coast lounge (given the 14:27 EC to Aberdeen is too late)?

To get to the Scotrail lounge, go through the ticket barriers for platforms 12-18 and the lounge is on the left hand-side, next to platform 14, I think, and just before the start of platforms 12 and 13.

The lounge is beyond the gateline adjacent to platform 14. Don't know anything about its quality however.

As much as I am a self confessed First fan, the lounge is simply not attractive enough - the only stuff you get with your 1st Class ticket is free tea or coffee, I don't think they have wifi yet. (They certainly didn't last year).

Harsh but true however the service on the sleeper is much better.

If you want a decent 1st Class lounge then have a look at Virgin's one at Euston now that screams 1st Class at you.
