A friend introduced me to London Walks at www.walks.com.
We did one called Hidden London which was a very interesting walk through the city down side alleys and going to places you wouldn't find on your own, including the only house in the city of London with a garden! The guide was excellent and extremely knowledgable, I can see why they've won awards.
Something that I thought might be interesting to people on here is a walk called 'The Lure of the Underground' - 150 years of Engineering and Artistry Seen from the inside. It's on every Tuesday in February starting at 11am at Baker Street Tube station.
Has anyone been on this? I'm going on Tuesday and will report back if it's worth going on. It costs £9 for 2 hours which I think is pretty good.
