Am planning to to the Slam Door on Sat (1 May). Could SWT Driver or anyone in the know confirm if the slammers are on?

It depends on whether they can kick one into life in the morning, if a CIG works, it does the branch, although they do try to alternate them, if not TAXI!

Thanks all.
Went down on Sat and did a couple of return trips (one to take pics, one to enjoy!)
The slams are so old, noisy, dirty and bumpy. Brilliant!! They will be missed even though they are not the best example of its type.
It had the 'Slamdoors say goodbye to the Lymington Flyer' plate on the Brockenhurst end.
As for many of us, happy memories of my earlier years...
