My roving reporter advises he needs to use the above route next week owing to travelling with a bicycle.

The usual routing point of via Smethwick Galton Bridge has buses in lieu of trains to Stourbridge Junction thus travel with a bike is not an option that way.

Is it possible to buy a Manchester (any) to Kidderminster routed via Droitwich Spa single or return?

If not is it best to buy a ticket to Droitwich and book another ticket to complete the journey?

Also, for the duration of the engineering works is Droitwich Spa a valid route when travelling from Kidderminster to Birmingham?

Manchester-Kidderminster is not valid via Worcester/Droitwich.
Kidderminster-Birmingham is not valid via Droitwich.
There are no easements I can see which alter this because of the closure.
Manchester-Droitwich is valid via Birmingham/Bromsgrove.

Would walk-up tickets split (1) Manchester Stns-> Stafford + (2) Stafford-> Droitwich Spa + (3) Droitwich Spa-> Kidderminster be valid, flexible and relatively inexpensive?

Or maybe even (4) Manchester-> Stoke-on-Trent (or alternatively Crewe) plus (5) a West Midlands Day Ranger, depending on time of day of the outward leg?

Just checked, University to Kidderminster is valid via Droitwich, you can investigate in that direction further
