Considering the bad weather that's forecast over the next couple of days I'm wondering how this will affect the planned engineering works at Manchester Victoria over the Christmas Period

It might affect any roof work but my impression is that the most important reason for the closure is to lower the tracks under the road bridge at the NE end of the station to create headroom for future wiring. That seems unlikely to be affected.
