I'm thinking about booking a journey on this when coming back from London in a couple of weeks. I know it's not the most direct route(journey takes 3 hours 50 minutes!), but it's something different and a change from the "same old same old" London-Bristol coach journey.

Is this service usually a single or double decker coach?

Is it usually busy?

It's likely to be full at that time but you're guaranteed a seat

That service is almost certainly a single decker, operated by South Gloucestershire Bus & Coach for Megabus. I see their coaches to Heathrow/Gatwick regularly in Cardiff and they've always been single deckers.

I don't think that service goes into the city centre, terminus appears to be Bristol East Emersons Green Sainsbury's and given that I doubt if it will be full. It is a more interesting route than the M7/M10 though on a 16.00 departure in November you won't have daylight to enjoy the scenery

Cheers both of you for your replies. But Paul where did you get the info that the terminus is Bristol Emerson's Green for this service? That's a weird place for an inter-city coach service to terminate! Just checked again on the Megabus website and it does say Bristol Bond Street is the terminating point.

i looked at the booking engine and the 16.00 service to Bristol was not the route you wanted, only the standard M7 or M10, I could only get the route via Heathrow and Bath by specifying Emersons Green in Bristol not Bond Street.
