Hi,

I have this shot of a Merseytravel bus stop from 1989.
I'm trying to find the location of stop.

Is C1 the zone that the stop is located and if so was that the same area as the present day C1?

Only able to upload the close up of the sign at the moment.

Thanks,

C1 is a ticket zone for Merseytravel former Zone Ticket scheme Merseyside was split in to four zones. A for St Helens, B for Wirral, C for Liverpool, Knowsley and South Sefton, D for Southport. There was a Zone AC meaning Knowsley/St Helens overlap. For Wirral commuters there was a B +C1 ticket. The lettered areas were split into numbered sub zones hence C1.Saveaway tickets used just the letters .

The C1 zone is the Liverpool area centre plus some suburbs, and it's difficult to identify where the stop was Hope this helps!

Yes, that's the Area (C) and Zone (1) and they are pretty much (not sure if exactly) unchanged now.

Area C's border with Area F was altered when Maghull North opened, but that's it as far as I'm aware.
