I really dislike that every ticketing app I've tried (GWR's, Trainline, EMR's and LNER's) makes you select a train, and then just sells you an anytime/off-peak anyway. It's a minor inconvenience, but it's annoying to have to pretend that I'm taking a later train because the one that hasn't arrived yet is "no longer available for purchase", and I imagine that this may lead less savvy people to think that they need to buy another ticket if they miss "their" train.
Is there a mobile app that has the same layout, or general function, as the mixing deck? Anything that answers the question "what trains can I travel on with X ticket?", rather than "I want to travel on this train, what's the most profitable ticket for you?" would be nice.

Why is an 'app' needed? The mixing deck interface works on a mobile phone browser eg https://tickets.gwr.com/. If the browser switches to the mobile interface, 'Use Desktop' can be selected from the menu drop down.
It's not very user friendly to do things this way, to be fair. That said, whilst I can certainly see why the OP wants to make use of this rather useful MixingDeck functionality, it's probably a little bit too niche for anyone to have spent the time and effort to make an app that does it. It's also a little bit more complex to present the same information in a sensible way, on a smaller screen.
