Currently applied for a mom position internal for NWR, but I keep asking myself, what are the chances of even getting an interview providing my application/cv is up to scratch, is it a case of the LOM has already got someone for the job before it even goes on the system?

Also, are there any handy requirements to have when applying? IE, I understand some ex signallers are now mom's etc. I hold quite a lot of safety critical tickets being from a construction side of NWR, COSS/IWA,MC etc to name a few.

Regards,

Jay

If you submit a decent application/CV then you’ll certainly get an interview however the bit in bold does still happen, at least in some areas. I have had direct experience of this twice in the last 5 years as an internal NR candidate for two different roles.

Sognaller to MOM is a traditional line of promotion but if you have PTS/COSS/IWA/AOD/LXA competencies then you’ve already got a big advantage ahead of the vast majority of candidates applying from signaller positions who almost certainly won’t hold any Sentinel tickets.
