Hi,

I'm a trainee driver, about 6 months in of driving, and I now and then get a sense of vertigo or motion sickness after I've driven the train, usually once I get home. Could be completely unrelated. But was curious if any other drivers have or experienced this.

I find that when I'm concentrating on braking for, particularly, an unfamiliar stop, I fixate on the platform and the two running lines can become slightly hypnotic. Any one else? If so what do you do to counter it, I don't tend to get motion sickness at any other time driving a car etc

Sounds like guitar hero syndrome (not its actual name). Don’t focus on the track.
Don’t keep a constant focus on the platform, switch to your speedo, brake gauge and back to the platform.
