Hi
Every night for these few weeks I have heard something noisy operating through Hitchin going north or south usually between 1030 to 1100 pm. (it was 2245 last night and 2255 the previous night)
It is so loud I can hear it through double glazed windows - I live around 200meters from the ECML in Ickleford.
It sounds somewhere between a Hymek and something with a GM engine in it.Does anyone know if any class 66s are running around with their silencers removed (or knackered)?
