Spotted (and had to use this) on a platform in Barcelona. Interesting solution, allowing passengers to alight so no need to move through the train but preventing boarding. Perhaps not to bad from a safety perspective as most people will have cleared the section by the time the train pulls away. 26290394-D107-4082-97E4-5ADF2F7A8214.jpeg

Could imagine the pr disaster with people with large luge or overweight people alighting from that carriage and unable to exit.

Well I suppose if people will insist on taking large luges on public transport they should expect some bother.

Bushey. Where a variation of it exists!
Bushey P3 sees such little use (usually at unsociable hours), it would be a waste of money. For a start, only 4 carriages fit on the platform. The one time I alighted there, I was at the front and ready to take pictures and I noticed he guard was waving his arms at me vigorously from the 4th carriage. I ran towards him and he said I had to leave the platform by buzzing a security door before the train could be dispatched. The platform is an oddity in London.

The ideal place would be stations where you have large numbers of alighters and boarders at peak hours - the Underground stations at terminals such as Victoria or King's Cross would seem to be good starting points.
