National Railway Museum. Mallard will be leaving at 14-50 Wed 23rd June

On the 23rd June Mallard is being moved from the National Railway Museum at York on the mainline, being pulled by the steam train Tornado to Shildon.

I looking for a good photo vantage point in or round York to capture this advent, your help will be appreciated

It is being discussed in this thread http://www.railforums.co.uk/showthread.php?t=31026&page=2&highlight=mallard where it states that the move is currently planned to leave the NRM at 2am, so not sure where you could go for a photo at this time of night.

Oh and here I came into this thread expecting to see some pohotos of Mallard. I'm disapointed. :(

Type in Raskelf to Google Maps, there are a few bridges there that look to be alright.

There is always Shipton. Both are just about a 10-15 drive from the city centre on the A19.
