These websites will display the fleet number of a vehicle if you're after a particular train, tram, metro or bus in NL. They will give their current position, and what route they're running on. These two websites are the Dutch equivalents of bustimes.org, realtimetrains.co.uk, lvf.io and many more.

Good to know there's a train equivalent of busposities too! Does it also track the Amsterdam metro?

Doesn't look like the Amsterdam metro is tracked on any website. Treinposities by the way only shows NS and Arriva trains, not the ones operated by Qbuzz or Keolis.

Real time info including vehicle numbers is also available via the app OVinfo, which may be more convenient on a smartphone. That app also displays locations of vehicles on a map, but only one at a time.

Also the NS app has a ‘train radar’ showing the live positions of all NS and Arriva trains. It is a bit hidden but it’s in there.
