Network rail track maintenance shifts?

Good evening everyone,

I recently went for an interview at network rail for a track maintenance vacancy, could someone please explain to me the shifts, I understand it’s a 13 week rota but can anyone give examples of the shifts? Thank you, also the job description didn’t say a wage and I didn’t dare ask what the salary was so does anyone have any idea what the money is like?

Two sections
Inspection - mainly days 7am-3pm
Production - mainly nights 22-06 working in possessions

Differs greatly area by area and number of lines
Inspection identify the fault, production repair it
Also ‘ works delivery’ track who do some heavier work, refurbs etc
Times with no ‘gang’ on shift covered by on call team
