Hello all - bit of a shameless plug here; if I may be so bold
The Network SouthEast Railway Society are holding a gala at Finmere (near Bicester; on the old Great Central Railway route) on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th August; with kind permission of site owners C.O.V.E.S.
This is an excellent opportunity to ride aboard the sole surviving Phase One Class 421 1753 working with ED 73130; together with some other surprises along the way. Refreshments will be available from the BIG buffet (it's the buffet car from a 4-BIG; the buffet itself is normal size) over the weekend; with ample parking and a bus service from Bicester North station (payment by donations)
Tickets are £12 for an adult and £6 for a child; if you are not a society member tickets are by postal application only and are limited to 150 per day; details are available here -
http://www.nsers.org/events.html
Ticket applications must be made by the 15th of July
A nice easy day out within easy reach of London and the M40 - well received in the two previous years we've run it; hope to see you there
