New c2c timetable from May 2019

Plenty going on particularly on weekends on this patch of the network. c2c have announced that weekend services are to be made quicker and improve as well.

• A new hourly service will operate between London Fenchurch Street and Shoeburyness calling at West Ham, Benfleet and all stations eastwards on Saturday and Sunday aiming to get to Southend Central in 45 minutes and Shoeburyness in 55 minutes.

• All services via Chafford Hundred will be extended to Shoeburyness from Southend Central on the weekends. This will provide an uplift in services, combined with the pullman services between Southend Central and Shoeburyness from 4 to 7tph.

• The service from London Liverpool Street to Shoeburyness will no longer call at West Horndon and Pitsea. These calls have been moved to the stopping service between London Fenchurch Street and Shoeburyness.

A good move by c2c but a shame there isn't anything too exciting on the loop line. Thoughts?

Fast trains for Southend is a good idea, especially on weekends and when GA have engineering works. Bit more difficult on the loop line as most of the demand comes from Lakeside and having trains fast from Grays or something is a bit of a waste when most people want Lakeside. Making all go trains to Shoeburyness is also a good idea as it means they now have direct trains to Lakeside. Barely any changes at peak time however which is a little annoying but there's not much more of the timetable that can be changed considering were on something like the 14th change in the timetable since Dec 2015.
