I can't find any confirmation emails for my 2 recent ticket purchases using GWR mobile app. However, I have no problems receiving emails containing ticket PDF if the purchase is done on web. Can anyone here confirm the same?
I've had this happen when booking using smartphone app (though not GWR)
I found that for some reason the mails had been identified as SPAM and diverted to the Junk Folder. I have never experienced this when booking at home by PC.
I don't know why this should be, but now I am always conscious that it's a possibility.
I also didn't receive an email after yesterday's purchase on the web, and I contacted customer service. It turned out that the 3 missing mails were in Google spam box which didn't show up if I typed GWR into the search box unless I explicitly specify searching the spam box (my Google box attracts hundreds of spams every day). I wonder why the mails went through correctly for months but suddenly filtered since 2022-03-23.
I have now created a whitelist for the address and got my problem resolved.
