Non-Mazey Day Cornishman 2021

Morning all
Tomorrow is the day as you may be aware of Pathfinder's annual Mazey Day Cornishman from Birmingham New Street to Penzance.
Motive power is expected to be a GBRf Class 66/7 from New Street to Gloucester (and return) and 50007 + 50049 from Gloucester to Penzance and back.
I presume it will be formed of Air Conditioned MK2 stock, which is a shame as MK1s would permit being able to hear the 'Vacs' more.

I believe there was an issue with the connector cable between the locos this morning, so 50049 wasn't powering properly (and it did sound a bit off), but I think that's been resolved. No doubt it was absolutely brilliant this evening up things like Hemerdon bank; unfortunately, I'm now literally right at the back, so can't hear.

Yes, word was there was an issue, and from standing behind 049 in the front vestibule she sounded almost like she was misfiring.
