Hi All,

1st post here, so appologies if this has been asked and replied to before, but does anyone here work for Northern based at Sheffield and can give me an idea of how the rota works?
Thanks in advance

Im a trainee at Sheffield, however I don’t know how the rota works. I know that there are 3 links, with a starter link underneath that. But I’m not sure about shift patterns or anything like that.

Job lengths seem to be around 8-9 hours long

Thanks for the feeback.
How are you finding the role at the moment? I've applied for this latest opening so would be good to hear 1st hand from someone actually on the course. Feel free to PM if you would prefer :)
Cheers

The role is good so far, I’ve finished all of the classroom based learning. Now onto actual driving with a mentor. The classroom based learning is around 20 weeks, I’d strongly advise revising a little bit every night throughout this period.

Good luck with your application

Thanks for your feedback. Hopefully I’ll bump into you over there some time in the near future.

Yes, I’ve just applied for the second time for Sheffield, first time round I didn’t get called up for anything but since then I’ve passed all the assessments for another operating company to their enhanced level so we’ll see what happens…

i think i did after leeds was a vacancies full.
Northern have a strict 45 min commute policy and don't accept relocation - seeing as your location is Blackburn, Leeds and Sheffield will be too far away and I don't think a scattergun approach on locations will help you much.
