Hi,

I am trying to work out whether the bustitutions between Southport and Wigan on the 15 December were because of engineering or northernness. Does anybody know which it was or where I might find that info?

Thanks

That was northernness. It is rare to see a train between Wigan and Southport on a Sunday nowadays. Trains were all "cancelled due to a short notice change to the timetable". Call me a sad git, if you like, but I am currently monitoring a live feed of the Meols Cop departure boards, which includes these trains, as well as RRBs.
