Hi mate and congratulations for getting to the interview stage!

The questions are typical scenario based questions. Eg. "Tell me a time you challenged a coworker?" or "Tell me a time you had to work as a team?".Network Rail is big on safety so make sure you understand their safety vision. Safety Vision. Also make sure you are up to speed with the Lifesaving Rules.

Good luck mate!

Out of curiousity - where is the job based?

You get bonus points for naming the lifesaving rules. I was told by someone who worked for NR I wouldn’t be asked but the two interviews I’ve had, I have been asked if I can name any, the second one I managed just about all of them and I’ve got the job.

I have recently become a member of the off track team as a planner.

I was asked the standard questions and then things like “what are the short, mid and long term problems network rail are facing”
So I mentioned, rail strikes, weather (there’s been lots of floods) and the environment.
There was quite a few technical questions so do your research of off track if you can.

I’ve not started yet, but good luck with your interview.
