Hi All,

I have my first ever attempt at the psychometrics assessment centre, at the OPC Watford coming up.

Could anyone who has 'hopefully' recently attended the OPC, confirm if the group bourdon tests are dots or letters?

Also, is the written communication test still included in the tests?

I appreciate all TOC's may require different tests. I have recieved my practice materials from the TOC that I've applied to. The documents are dated 2016-2017. The group bourdon tests on the documents are letters, but I'm aware that the dots option is used more often these days. I also read somewhere within the forum that the written communication tests (look at a picture of an incident & write a report) are not included anymore.

I just want to prep as accurately as possible.

Many thanks

1.Its Dots; there is a group bourdon tool on here that you can use to practise.

2. Some companies use it, most don't. You should receive information from your TOC on which tests you need to take. The practice tests they give you are sufficient.

You want to be practicing the Bourdon tests like mad. It's the only real preparation you can do and it's one of the few tests where practice really can improve your score. You need to be concentrating on accuracy initially and once you've nailed that focus on improving your speed. Good luck
