Hi all,

Say I have a ZIP 16+ Oyster with a Shenfield <-> London season ticket on it, and a Shenfield <-> Billericay return paper ticket.

My route is Billericay -> Liverpool Street -> Zone 1 Underground (and back again).

I was wondering that if I'm going from Billericay to Liverpool Street (and vice versa), can I touch in (/out) at London and not get off my train from (/to) Billericay to touch in (/out) at Shenfield without getting charged extra?

Thanks

You cannot have a Shenfield to London ticket on a Zip card. Only Travelcards can be loaded to Zip cards. Please clarify.

Clarification:

On the ZIP: 7 day Zone 1 - Shenfield travelcard
On paper: Anytime Day Return Billericay - Shenfield

When an Oyster in touched in at a station covered by a Travelcard loaded on it the maximum journey charge is not deducted, this has the effect of a missed touch out being assumed to be at a station within the covered zones. The reverse also applies with no charge being made when touched out at a covered station if it was not touched in.

This preserves your right to make the 19(c) split on a non-stop train.
