OK guys,
I am considering a trip to Glasgow and during that time I may want/need to walk between Paisley Gilmore Street station and Paisley Canal station.
I know it is about a 15 minute walk.

Question Is it rough?
Better to go in the Glasgow Central and come back.
The walk would be between 7 and 7 in the evening. Safe ?

Thanks

What time of year, in other words, light or dark.

I have been there (or a bit north in fact) and would be fine walking it in the day

Most of the way between Canal and Gilmore Street is just on shopping streets. One reasonably wide road to cross.

Nothing particularly concerning on the way.

Possibly in October.

Thanks guys. Probably have my camera gear and laptop with me hence the concern

Straight down a main road, no subways involved. Never occurred to me that it might be unsafe when I did exactly the same a few years ago.
