Penzance Heliport

The current heliport at Penzance has IATA code PZE. Did the original heliport, which closed in 2012, have the same code, please?

Yes, the original location had IATA code PZE.

However, I do not believe the current location has an IATA code.

One can check individual codes on the IATA website.

Presumably the new owners didn't see the need to pay IATA fees for a code that isn't required.

They may well use PZE as an abbreviation on their websites/tickets etc., but I don't think it's been allocated by IATA.
Same applies to Tresco, which was TSO.

Thanks for the answer. I asked the question because the Wikipedia article for Penzance Heliport shows PZE without making clear whether it is referring to the original, current, or both heliports. As you say, if the current owners don't need an IATA code for such a limited local service then why pay for it. Obviously things were different years ago when the helicopter service was started by British European Airways.

LEQ is Land's End Airport by St Just, a separate facility. Nothing to do with Penzance Heliport which is to the east of Penzance.

Says that PZE is IATA and EGHK for ICAO, however the given Lat/Lon points to the Sainsburys which is where the old heliport was

LEQ is Land's End Airport by St Just, a separate facility. Nothing to do with Penzance Heliport which is to the east of Penzance.

Would there be any worthwhile cost saving by shifting the helicopter service to operate from St Just or would the rental / usage charges pretty much match those of maintaining the separate facility?

They just built a new heliport in Penzance to operate the essential public service transport to/from Scilly.

Perhaps they should get rid of trains to Epom and save some money, people in Epsom can just go to Redhill to get a train?

Why would someone in Epsom care about trains in a place called "Epom"?
