Hi

I am looking for pictures - films of Leeds Station in the 1980s & 1990's

I did work experience in Leeds in 1984 so pictures of that time and especially where the parcel office was would be great

Hope someone can help

Paul

no worries fella

I have a few more pictures at home that you might like to see but my computer is in boxes as I am returning to England tomorrow.

I will post some more when I get back.

I remember first time reading that lost railways website that I couldn't believe how much of a railway utopia Dewsbury and Batley were. I have a house in Morley that, if it was still there, would back onto the old GNR Tingley line through Morley Top to Drig.

another great site for old Leeds pictures

http://www.leodis.net/

My fave is the one which overlooks the wakefield road/Leeds road junction which is now a huge motorway junction. There was just a little crossroads and a tunnel going underneath it onto the now Drighlington bypass

Sorry to post slightly off topic but the picture referred to on the previous post (actually Wakefield Road and GELDERD Road, being pedantic) is expanded with others as well as a bit of back-story here - http://www.secretleeds.com/forum/Messages.aspx?ThreadID=309&StartAtMessage=25&#20056. As mentioned, this is strictly speaking off topic but a trawl through linked sites as well as LRWY should yield some suitable 80s and 90s images. Good luck.
