Good afternoon - so i'm trying to find some information on Poznan Transport tickets - is there any ticket that is valid on Buses, Trams and Trains within the Poznan area - just like other cities such as Katowice/Warsaw & Gdansk?

There are certainly Tram and Bus day and longer tickets valid for various zones in and around Poznan; I used one a few years ago, but I'm not aware of anything that includes trains.

Agreed. There is certainly a ticket for buses and trams, but I can’t remember if it included local trains as I didn’t consider using them.

Poznan is a nice city with an excellent central square, and I enjoyed walking along a lake, a bit to the east, accessible by tram. Its beautiful cathedral is surprisingly not in the centre: you can walk it, but you could also get a tram. (If you are English, think Cambridge station).

JUst use for all polish cities dr Google: PKM+name city and the local ´company´ will appear. Most have an /en/ section too.
In Poznan ONLY longer term seasons loaded on their version of a chipcard may also be valid on the few stops In the city on trains-and then likely only those of certain companies=not of interest for the usual tourist. But trains as such have a nil to negligible role for inner-city transportation there.
Senior citizens from anywhere (yes, even still also the breakaway from EU UK)>70 yrs!! enjoy FREE travel on bustram. Just show ID/passpt when there are checks. This applies to many polish cities too, incl main ones like Krakow, Wroclaw and Warszawa, but not to all. Some others require a local chipcard loaded with it, other still only offer discount-or very, very cheap yearly seasons.
All major stops have new machines that you can of course also set to /en/ and take money and cards and show all the options. For the usual tourist passes for 24 or 48 hrs are likely best buy-and even if not, still that cheap that spending an odd zloty more will not really hurt. For those with more cultural etc interest: there MAY aso be a POznan card that includes more, like entries etc-check the tourist pages. If arriving by air PAY for airportbus, anyone, also seniors, then in town use the local offers.
)If this is for that dreadful steam@Wolsztyn etc (paro-voz): just read that the long time sponsor is now withdrawing due to age. Changes are thus in the air.
