Pregnancy Badges etc - I think it's worth making a "collection" thread

Missus is entering 3rd trimester and so despite her being northern* I've been a bit cheeky and ordered the free TFL baby on board badge and had it sent to my work address darn sarf (quite odd they'd let it be sent to a Mr Egg Centric, Where Egg Centric Nominally Works, Business Park With Bee Hives, Southern Town Full Of Typically Miserable Gits Within The M25 That Desperately Pretends To Not Be London, Southland but not to a Mrs Egg Centric, Centric House, Northern Town Where People Talk To Each Other, Northland but that's by the by) .

Nevertheless there is some discrimination against Londoners up here - and quite right too  - so a TFL badge isn't ideal, a neutral one would be theoretically better. And it turns out that there's quite a few rail companies doing badges. And I think it'd be good to make a thread about pregnancy provision. So I will start out like this and hopefully it can be added to:

  • Great Northern - provide badge
  • SWR - provide badge and "stuff"
  • C2C - provide badge
  • Transport for Wales - provide badge (in either language)
  • TFL - see above
  • Greater Anglia - give you free first class travel for last 8 weeks and provide badge
  • GWR - give you a priority seat card
  • Southern - give you a priority seat card
  • LNWR - give you a priority seat card. WMR version here if any difference
  • Northern - offer a priority seat card. NB at time of writing this page is broken - to be one of the very few people actually able to see their offering go to that webpage and in your address bar type
    Code:
    javascript:
    then copy and paste
    JavaScript:
    document.querySelectorAll('.accordion-faq h4:last-of-type ~ div').forEach(({classList:x})=>x.remove('hide'))
    - wish I was making that up (browser will not allow you to copy paste the entire thing in to stop you against malicious people but you can trust me, I'm an egg)
  • LNER - some vague sense you can pre book priority seats in advance through their assistance team

This is not exhaustive as it's 2.30 am but I would hope others can add to it.

(I'm aware of course some of the above are the same company! Thameslink for example also has badge and seat card so I assume the Southern and GN links above will too, they just not so obvious on google)

*well living northern - those who have met her know she's more southern than 99.9% of railukforum users originally...

(Edited to put in terser code, for some reason I couldn't sleep knowing the origin I gave )

Southeastern say that they do a badge too:

You have to contact their customer services by emailing [email protected] or calling 03453 227021 or by using the contact form to request one.

There is an alternative route, just in case some people are using company devices:

From here you can request a code from Northern via email, then order one from this site.

The Greater Anglia first class upgrade only benefits anyone using the Norwich intercity services as they abolished it on all their other trains! Even some of the Norwich ones are standard class only

Erm…@Tetchytyke I think your subscript is perhaps inappropriate for the subject discussed :D

I do remember my wife being very visibly eight months pregnant and waiting for a bus on a hot day. Due to the heat she fainted and collapsed to the floor just as the bus arrived. The whole queue of passengers just stepped over her and got on the bus...

That's shocking state of affairs.
