I travelled on 11 June from Rheine to Amsterdam Centraal (journey started from Soest), where the IC 148 train was delayed for over an hour, when it should have arrived at 1400. I believe I should be entitled to compensation of €12.

I have been asked for proof of this delay, which I did not have. I did not think of getting proof from any staff, as it is not usually what is required in the UK. Interrail.eu sent me a screenshot which appears to be from Zugfinder which stated that it was delayed by 52 minutes, is there anywhere I can look for contact to prove otherwise? I remember well the train doors opened after 1400 and the conductor saying that he was sorry for the hour's delay!

who is asking for proof? DB? That would be unusual.
Interrail.eu.

Delay was 62 minutes according to the logs from the Dutch open source data, see https://treinposities.nl/ritinfo/20240611/148

The 52 minutes appear to have been the delay upon departure from Rheine.
That's great, I have sent this to Interrail.eu and see if they change their minds. In future I will need to make sure I get stamped proof!

They can ask you for proof, but you're not required to provide it. I think it does speed up the process though.

Indeed. Or as it happens, when their evidence puts me under the threshold  !

EDIT:
Got the delay claim approved, so a cool €12 compensation. Thanks for the advice!
