Hi guys, I have been shortlisted for the conductor post within TFW. I’ve recently passed my SCAAT and just completed the RAAT today. Not sure how I feel about it, some questions were a little tricky. I managed to finish the test, but there are around 5/6 questions I’m unsure of. Does anyone happen to know what the average pass mark is? What have people scored in the past and still got through to the next stage. Any info would be appreciated!

What depot have you applied for? With these psychometric tests, they are designed to test your ability to be accurate and consistent. From what I have been told and from experience, they aren't designed for 100% of the questions to be answered. This obviously doesn't mean you will get away with answering two questions and pass. The next stage will likely be a Ticket Selling and Checking test, which, you should take with a pinch of salt as I had sat my psychometrics with another TOC. After you have completed your psychometrics, you may be invited to be interviewed in Pontypridd where you will be asked a variety of situational questions and possibly questions about what you know of TfW and their routes etc.

Also, welcome to the forum :)

I’ve applied for Carmarthen station, which is ideal for me! Well I’m fairly confident I’ve done okay in the test, only time will tell. Thanks mate, good to know the next steps, gotta be prepared. Fingers crossed, will let you know the outcome, cheers again

Well done mate! I'm starting my 4th week of my course in Cardiff. Hopefully all goes well from here on out, any questions I'm happy to try and answer them.

Awesome mate! How long did the process take until you started your training? And how is the training going? 6 months training??
