I've received a Rail Travel Voucher from a TOC. However, the detachable small square counterfoil on the left-hand end isn't there, and it's not in the envelope.

Is it still valid, or do I need to send it back to the TOC for a replacement?

Does it have a number printed on it? Ticket offices tend to enter the number from it on to their computer to discount the ticket now-a-days.

It is still valid from what you're telling me (if it's a light green one). The counterfoil has no information on it.

The one I received a couple of days ago from ATW has nothing written on the counterfoil. IIRC, the one I got from NXEA a couple of months ago had no counterfoil and it was accepted without question.

The counter foil is not important and a rail voucher should be accepted without it. AFAIK, it is just there to make the voucher the same width as an A4 sheet of paper.
