I've just spent an enjoyable week in the Torremolinos area with a balcony overlooking the Malaga-Fuengirola line. I ended up looking out for the fleet numbers on the units, which I've managed to identify as Civia 464 EMU's as they were all 4 car. They appeared to be numbered 2** on one end and 7** on one end, with the last two digits being the unique identifier.
I tried to find out a bit more about them but information online is limited. What I'm interested to know is:
I ask the second question because I only saw around half a dozen units throughout the week. 20, 21, 24, 28 and then, after I'd started to think there was a pattern and they were all in the twenties, I saw 08!

- How many 4-car Civia units do Renfe operate, and what is the numbering logic?
- Are certain units allocated to the Malaga-Fuengirola line, or do they rotate?
