I am safeguarded staff and have Residential Travel from Tring (TRI) to Stonebridge Park (SBP) and I am frequently now attending meetings in Euston for which Network Rail will buy me a ticket.

My question is; If I use my residential ticket along with a Day single from Harrow (HRW) to Euston (EUS) can I catch a train which does not stop at Harrow?
I am pretty sure that if I had a season ticket from TRI to SBP and wanted to travel to Euston I could also get a single from HRW to EUS and use them together I could do that so wondered if the same applied to a residential ticket. I did ask RSTL but they didn’t really understand my question…

Provided your residential pass says it's issued under the National Rail Conditions of Travel (I would expect so) I see no issue with this. There's nothing in the RSTL restrictions that would prevent a non-stop split being undertaken in this manner.

In fact I see no reason why you need a ticket all the way from Harrow & Wealdstone - one from Wembley Central or even Stonebridge Park itself would suffice.

Thanks, I did wonder about Wembley Or Stonebridge Park. I surmised that in the case of Wembley that that may raise more questions than a Harrow split as so few London Northwestern Trains call and sort of discounted SBP as it’s not on the main line. It seems the Any Time return is the same price from HRW, WMB or SBP is the same anyway at £13.40. As I say, NR pay for my tickets to attend meetings, I just wanted them to be able to do it in the most cost effective way. Almost all the trains call at Harrow anyway except a few peak time ones, invariably the ones most suited to my travel times

Update, RSTL did reply and say that the train does not have to stop at the changeover station.
