Hi there,

Bit of a long shot this one, has anyone got the timings for this weekend tour?
I was on this trip joining at its origin station of Cardiff.
I have notes of all the haulage and some notes on the trip but back then I didn't log the times.
Im in the process of transferring my trips from a notebook to laptop.
Have tried Six Bells junction but no times listed.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Many thanks

Blimey,I was on that tour. Sadly I never kept any info on it. Some things I do remember was some faffing around at Georgemas Jct resulting in several passengers clambering around the track trying to decide wether to go to Thurso or Wick. Then returning to Cardiff where a large number of spotters "invaded" Canton. After that our group spent the night shivering on platform 2. I sat in one of the gate line cubicles for some warmth at one point until evicted.

Me too. I went to Thurso. I have the timings but they are back in the UK. If Cowley cant help I will be able to when I am next in the UK - which sadly is looking like not until October. RESL also did a Grampian Highlander which was pretty good too. Dale W. Fickes personally checked my ticket on at least 3 occasions on the Sutherland as I recall.

Thanks guys, I now have the times for this tour. I also went to Thurso as was required for track (Wick done on a previous tour). It was a great trip, I was 16 and went with my mates. I can remember my parents not being to happy as by the time I got back to Devon by mid morning on the Monday I had a exam at school that afternoon.
Anyway great memories.
