VR have started marketing the return of the Sm7 Allegro (Pendolino) trains that used to run between Helsinki and St.Petersburg. They have been purchased back from Karelia Trains Oy (basically 50% VR, 50% Russian Railways), been refurbished and will start in traffic during the summer between Helsinki and Turku and Helsinki and Oulu.

Never got the chance to ride the Allegros myself - did Sibelius and Repin (Finnish and Russian classic stock), so this'll be a good opportunity in the summer to Oulu. They're supposed to be a much better ride than the Sm6 Pendolinos.
