I passed through Salford Crescent station on Friday, and the new platform work is progressing well.
I was wondering if this could be the first "Level Boarding" platform in the north west? We live in hope.

All of merseyrail is level boarding so no they've beat Salford!!
I'm not sure it would be easy to implement though where different types of stock use the platform.

Unfortunately the multitude of different unit types using the station mean it will just have to be a generic height, Merseyrail has the bonus of course that it has a single uniform fleet of trains all with the same height passenger doors
