Well, London Midland used the Group Bourdon, which is the dot test, so I imagine that’s what they’ll be using still.

Can’t speak for West Midlands Trains but I’ve just passed the Group Bourdon test with another TOC.

Threw me a little as I got sent the SCAAT practice material (and purchased the OPC practice assessments from their site) and got myself to a point I was comfortable with.

On the day the assessor said it was the Group Bourdon which I was a bit apprehensive about but I actually found it much easier than the SCAAT. From my experience if you practice with the SCAAT (full length) you will probably find the Group Bourdon easier as you are looking for one king all the way through rather than different symbols.

There’s practice tests you can buy from the OPC site along with feedback and scoring as well as the sticky at the top of the careers forum which has a link to practice materials.

I’m sure the group boarding test tool does the scatt test as well as the dots

I've only recently sat this and it's the Group Bourdon test. The way I practiced which was a bit of a cheat but it worked, I found a random photo on Google of a GB sheet, printed 5 off, and just alternated the pages top/bottom so page 1, 3 & 5 would be the same but pages 2 & 4 would be the same- if that makes sense?!
