I'm on a gentle long term mission (sometimes with my long suffering wife) to travel by train to all the British Rail stations that qualify as seaside termini. I've used the QUAIL 'trackplan maps' as my guide. Have listed them all below. Two of them, Paignton and Sheringham, might possibly not count as they have preserved railways continuing on from them but I don't think that disqualifies them. I have listed them all below. Have I missed any out? Thanks.
Book 1. Scotland.
Wick. Thurso. Kyle of Lochalsh. Fort William. Mallaig. Oban. Helensburgh. Gourock. Wemyss Bay. Stranraer. North Berwick. 11 stations.
Book 2. Eastern.
Saltburn. Whitby. Scarborough. Hull. Cleethorpes. Skegness. Kings Lynn. Sheringham. Cromer. Yarmouth. Lowestoft. Felixstowe. Harwich. Walton on the Naze. Clacton. Shoeburyness. 16 stations.
Book 3. Western.
Exmouth. Paignton. Looe. Falmouth Docks. Penzance. St. Ives. Newquay. Barnstable. Severn Beach. Penarth. Barry Island. Swansea. Pembroke Dock. Milford Haven. Fishguard Harbour. Aberystwyth. Phllweli. Holyhead. Llandudno. 19 stations.
Book 4. Midlands and North West.
West Kirby. New Brighton. Southport. Blackpool South. Blackpool North. Heysham. Morcambe Bay, 7 stations.
Book 5 Southern and TFL.
Sheerness. Eastbourne. Seaford. Littlehampton. Bognor Regis. Portsmouth Harbour. Lymington. Weymouth. 8 stations.

Nowhere near enough to a Pacer :(
Looks like an interesting mission and one that I might emulate, I am a big supporter of the British seaside resort so might do something that involves staying a night or two in each one as well to soak up the atmosphere

I would add Ardrossan Harbour, Largs and Leven for Scotland.

Hull and Kings Lynn are river ports, they are not at the seaside.

John Hillmer's 2012 book "Coastal Rail Termini of Britain and Ireland" is a quite useful reference source. It's still readily available, and a pic of front cover is shown below.

South Shields as an ex-BR terminus.

I wouldn't count Fort William. But you have to pass through on the way to Malling anyway.

Kings Lynn ?

Surely Kings Lynn is on Great Ouse river and around 4 km or so from the nearest sea ?

EDIT
OOPs someone already said that.

Barnstaple (your Barnstable) is about 5-6 km inland on Taw River = not seaside

Severn Beach is on River Severn = not seaside even if the name suggest otherwise

South Shields Metro is now about a quarter of a mile away from the closed BR station position, following its second resiting a few years ago. I‘m not sure if it ever really counted as an “ex-BR“ station at all.

Strictly speaking, the shore at Severn Beach is the coast- the River Severn becomes the Bristol Channel roughly under the Prince of Wales Bridge.
If no-one’s mentioned it, surely Southend Victoria has to be included.

according to every google response i get, the River Severn becomes the Severn Estuary around that bridge, not Bristol Channel, and googling the latter tells me its starts approx line between Penarth and Westonsupermare.

really if we start counting rivers here, then Charing Cross, Cannon Street, Waterloo, Fenchurch Street, Glasgow Central, and so on all comply.

And Barking Riverside.

The difference with the Severn and Humber is that the exact dividing line between Sea and Estuary is not clear and at Severn Beach and Cleethorpes the shoreline has many coastal features. The Thames in London and Clyde in Glasgow are clearly fluvial rivers not estuarine or coastal. You could equally challenge Southend Victoria or Shoeburyness on the grounds of being the Thames Estuary not North Sea if getting into precise hydrographical dividing lines.

It seems reasonable to class estuaries as "sea" so I would include Southend-on-Sea :) plus Shoeburyness and Kingston-upon-Hull (the Hull being a minor tidal river), Severn Beach, Cleethorpes but exclude tidal rivers. Lymington is a bit iffy in my book but you could argue either way.

Kingston-upon-Hull (the Hull being a minor tidal river)
The River Hull does not flow into the North Sea, it flows into a bigger tidal river, the Humber. Hull is not at the seaside.

Cleethorpes is clearly seaside, it has a beach, which is adjacent to the station.

But of course Southend Victoria and not Southend Central!

Possibly Tynemouth, Blyth. Also Barrow in furness depending on definition of terminus. Brighton is a must. If Hull is in, Barton on Humber is probably also in.

Don't forget, if you can squeeze them in: Weymouth - it has a gorgeous sandy beach minutes from the station, and my favourite station is Ferryside in Wales - when I alighted there was sand on the platform and as the train pulled out a gorgeous beach right in front of me.

Ferryside isn't a terminal though, I thought? Weymouth was on OP's list.
