Seat selection for railjet trains between Vienna, Salzburg and Zurich.

I vaguely remember exploring travel in Austria and being able to select exact seats on railjet trains. I have done test pass-holder tickets, and it appears that I am just assigned a seat. Am I missing something here?

Just had a look, I'm still getting a link to select a seat. When you're not going to Italy you just need a regular reservation, so select "Reservation only" on the ÖBB site. No need to buy a ticket with Interrail as discount for those trips.Screenshot_20240429-172450~2.png
