Thank you. Just got the sad news that the First Class ALR that I bought yesterday will not be of much use on the new strike day of Oct 1st. :( I will have to see if it can be extended or a refund for the missing day.

Thank you. Just got the sad news that the First Class ALR that I bought yesterday will not be of much use on the new strike day of Oct 1st. :( I will have to see if it can be extended or a refund for the missing day.
Sorry to hear that, I keep pondering doing one but the uncertainty of strikes is really putting me off. Let us know how you get on with your extension/refund request.

Had a "Twitter" chat with Northern Rail this morning. They said they will know more later in the week when timetables will be issued. ??

I think you should get a 'pro rata' refund, as per season tickets

Well, that's the end of my (13) 14-day Rover Ticket. The strike day will have to be claimed back from Northern Rail, the sellers of the ticket.
It was a great two weeks only disturbed by three incidents of fatality on the line. I hope that is not a regular occurrence as the distress caused to the train crew and affected families.
