Signaller Medical Assessment

Hi all, I’ve recently been offered a role as a Signaller with Network rail. Obviously one of the things you have to pass is a Medical assessment, I’m absolutely confident I will pass the Audio, Vision, Drug and Alcohol tests. My concern in the BMI, Blood pressure. I’ve done a online calculator and it says my BMI is 29.7, overweight. I’m 28. 5’8 and between 84-88KG (13.5 - 14st). I’m very mobile and play football, badminton a lot, I just enjoy food and have a bit of a belly lol. Do you reckon I’ll be ok for this medical exam? Any advice would be great, thank you.

BMI imo is quite inaccurate these days. Shouldn't have to worry much if you're fearing just it. Medical will have to check quite a few things before you can fail it. Main areas of concern in most medicals are the eye condition aka color perception, any issues that may lead or do lead to blurs etc loss of vision, ECGs and hearing.
