Has anyone got any experience of ticketing in France?

I have a booking with OuiGo - reference number and all

And a separate (even though purchased as one journey) ticket for SNCF TER Nouvelle Aquitaine

They have come as two separate tickets, in two different formats by email

Short of downloading the PDFs, Screenshotting QR codes etc - is there one Apple iPhone app that will allow me to load both tickets into one app? Is this app SNCF Connect or a different one?

SNCF Connect is the way.

Under tickets, on the up right hand side of the app you have import where you enter the reference and the name.

Unless you bought any leg through Trainline or other 3rd party (like RailEurope), in which case the SNCF Connect app will refuse importation of that leg.

Another vote for SNCF Connect, I've used it a few times and found it very good for showing/buying tickets, journey planning and odds and sods.

Again, go with SNCF connect. I have even used it to book through tickets from London to destinations in France - generally easier than doing the same in the E* app, although if you like the E* app you can simply add the booking number and your ticket will show up there as well. My only problem was digitising ('dematerialising' to use their term) my Carte Avantage Senior by adding a photograph, which saves having to provide separate ID when checked. I got there in the end but it took about 10 different photos and 50 attempts to upload one that was deemed acceptable!

PS There is an addon that allows you to use it for Ile de France fares and use your phone's NFC directly to travel in Paris, which I have installed but not yet used. There are a lot of negative reviews of the addon in Play Store, but mainly from people who installed it thinking it was a standalone app.

Happy to report that the SNCF Connect app worked brilliantly for loading the reservations. Didn’t even need to make yet another account either!

Thanks for the input

FYI : If you booked a ticket on the OUIGO official app/website and created an account, your account is the same on the SNCF Connect app.

All customer-facing portal and apps for French services are now using Mon Identifiant SNCF

SNCF Connect. Worked really for our OuiGo/InOui Paris-Strasbourg trip. I'd rate it to be as good as VR's app.

It's not too bad for TGV journeys with few changes. If you want to have a full overview of the possibilities or would like to see the fastest journeys if you don't travel to or from Paris, then use DB, ÖBB or SBB apps.
