In 2015 the Department for Transport committed almost £50 million to the introduction of WiFi on services run by Southeastern and a few other train operating companies. All our trains will be fitted by June 2018.

Would be interested to know what sort of speeds people are getting; between Tonbridge and London Bridge (375 electrostars on SE mainline) I'm get between 1.5 and 2 Mb/s, up and downlinks.

On a 395 at St Pancras and phone to AP is showing as 866Mbps. Data transfer according to SpeedTest was 1.98Mbps download, 1.75 upload and 39ms PING.
