The June edition of Today’s Railways UK has just been published. It includes an eight page feature on using the Southern Daysave rover ticket. The author chose Easter Saturday 16 April, starting at 05.52 from East Croydon and then describes the range of journeys during his day.
Does anyone have any tips when using this ticket, as it allows travel on every one of Southern’s routes?

Tip one: You have to remember to book it several days in advance, it's not a walk up product that you can buy on the day.

Thanks - to help with my planning and advance booking, I was wondering if the forthcoming new Southern timetable includes any particular services that are worth travelling on for unusual routing, stock, etc? I am aware that the Dayserve can be used after 10am weekdays or anytime weekends.

You can buy them on the day at the following places:

• Eastbourne Tourist Information Centre
• Hastings Tourist Information Centre
• Lewes Tourist Information Centre
• Seaford Tourist Information Centre

So if you live near one of those that might be more convenient than buying them online.
