Speed camera sign at Chertsey

Had a search on the forums and didn't find anything... I was traveling the other week and saw a speed camera sign at Chertsey station. Is this something I should see or some joker?

At a guess, some inebriated joker (or schoolkid) has brought it down from the road bridge above. I went to school with some of them and it wouldn't surprise me if they did it.

It's a warning to those that run for trains that they may be prosecuted for speeding if they run too quickly.

There's an electronic Speed Indicator Device on the lane at Bishton, adjacent to the up main line. For a while after it was initially installed (but unfortunately no longer), it would register the speed of some trains on the up main line. It must have been interesting for any road user trundling along at the wrong moment to see 90 displayed as a 158 went past!

I remember them appearing at stations in the early to mid 1990s so that's why.
