Seems to be a long disruption due to issues with the track, with trains delayed coming into Paddington. Train Manager said (on the morning commute in) that rough riding had been reported, and a 20mph speed restriction, across all incoming lines, had been put in place.

Does anyone have further insight into the problem (Just curious! :) ).

Was on TyrellCheck this morning and saw it was a section of the Up main had been 'tamped out of alignment' during some works during the night last night.

Saw a notice about this at Twyford this afternoon.
Presumably it would need an overnight possession to fix

There is already a possession overnight on the UM at Ealing, they have ordered the naughty tamper to come back and fix it. Fair to say cautioning for 6 hours got boring after a while!

Given the past few days, I'dve thought TVSC Link 1 were masters of cautioning trains...

Well yes, I was on the Slough desk for a bit of Monday as well. Oh well, I have 8 days off now.

I wonder has this any connection to the forth coming Christmas engineering works.
Does anyone know how many trains will run to Ealing Broadway?

Was told the HST in front had mechanical issues that was slowing our journey. Presumably this is related to the same issue?

Is this still an issue today?
